Developmental Disabilities

Consultant pharmacists that work in facilities or group homes that provide services to individuals with mental retardation and developmental disabilities play a significant role in the monitoring of psychoactive polypharmacy.

 

Services Include

• Perform ongoing medication reviews, recommendations, and reporting.

• Inspect all areas of drug storage and for proper disposition of expired medications.

• Provide in-servicing and participate in QI/QA meetings.

• Support your survey preparation and JCAHO accreditation with an interdisciplinary approach.
